Conor McGregor defeats Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in comeback fight

Conor McGregor v Donald Cerrone

Conor McGregor has beaten Donald Cerrone in his highly anticipated return to UFC, and he did it inside A MINUTE.

'Notorious' was competing in his first bout since October 2018, and he made sure that it was a victorious return by defeating 'Cowboy' at UFC 246 inside the first round with devastating blows early on.

It wasn't as fast as his job on Jose Aldo, but my word, it was still rapid.

A head-kick caught Cerrone early on on the side of the temple, and from that point on, it was over for 'Cowboy'.

Punches in bunches followed by the Irishman, and eventually, the match referee had to step in and intervene.

McGregor has spoken about his desires to be more competitive this year than the year prior, and he's started 2020 off in style, and will surely be eyeing up that rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov sooner rather than later.

Due to his versatility at making weights, the Irishman has plenty of options for him going forward, with some big fights being touted for this year.

McGregor has fought at lightweight, featherweight and welterweight in his career with UFC, so it will be interesting to see what he does next.

The 31-year-old now has a professional record of 22-4, and all eyes will be on what he plans to do next.

Let's hope we don't have to wait as long for his next fight, because let's be honest, 2019 wasn't the same without Conor 'Notorious' McGregor.
