The Irishman wasted no time in dismantling Donald Cerrone inside the Octagon at UFC 246, getting the job done inside a minute.
It wasn't as quick as his job on Jose Aldo, but it was still very impressive nonetheless.
When you consider the fact 'Notorious' hasn't been inside the cage since his defeat to Khabib Nurmagomedov back in October 2018, his performance was truly sensational.
He started off like a rocket, and he finished in the same fashion too. He smelt blood early on and got the job done.
No doubt the moment that shook 'Cowboy' the most, however, was the brutal kick to the head/shoulder area.
It was a shot that rocked him, and it clearly threw his senses off.
After that kick connected, he was wobbling all over the place and merely clinging on to survive the first round.
However, he wasn't able to do so, and he eventually ended up being saved by the referee, who had to step in and intervene to end the fight.
Now, McGregor's lethal head-kick that basically ended the fight has been given the slow-mo treatment, and it looks even more brutal.
You have to feel for Cerrone.
In the build-up to the fight, a lot was made about the fact he can't win the big one.
Yes, McGregor was the heavy favourite going into the fight, but he would have liked to put on a much better showing than he did.
As for the Irishman, his return is bigger and better than anyone could have ever imagined.
