Liverpool’s lead at the top of the Premier League table looks unassailable.

Following Manchester City’s 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace on Saturday, the Reds have the chance to extend their lead over Pep Guardiola’s outfit to 16 points when they face Manchester United on Sunday.

And they would still have one more game in hand over City.

So it seems a matter of when, not if, the Reds will secure their first league title since 1990.

Man United will be eager to dent Liverpool’s charge when they travel to Anfield.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are the only team to take points from Liverpool this season and they would love nothing more than to ruin their chances of going the whole season unbeaten.

After that, Jurgen Klopp’s side travel to Wolves and have a trip to the Etihad Stadium to come in April.

Not only are they eyeing an unbeaten campaign to match Arsenal’s 2003/04 Invincibles but also Man City’s record of 100 points, which they could smash.

Liverpool will finish on 110 points if their current record of 2.90 points per game continues.

Will they do it?

ESPN have tried to guess by predicting the results of Liverpool’s remaining 17 fixtures.

And while they think Liverpool will win the title, they don’t believe they will go the whole season unbeaten.

So, according to ESPN, Liverpool will win the Premier League but fall short of the 100-point mark and fail to achieve the same feat as Arsenal’s Invincibles.

They believe the Reds will finish on 98 points, with losses to Man City and Arsenal preventing them from going the whole campaign without defeat.
