Conor McGregor made his long-awaited return to the octagon at UFC 246 and he certainly marked his comeback in style.The Irishman ended the fight with just 40 seconds gone in the first round, connecting with a sweet left foot before finishing opponent Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cellone via TKO.In the Octagon after the fight, McGregor was quick to point out that this made him a history-maker in the UFC.“I’m the first fighter in UFC history to secure a knockout victory at featherweight, lightweight and welterweight,” McGregor said. “I’m very, very happy. However, across social media McGregor’s critics were quick to point out that it has not been plain-sailing for the Irishman in these weight divisions.

It was at welterweight where he was defeated by Nate Diaz back in 2016, while Khabib Nurmagomedov was victorious against him at lightweight.

On top of that, in Notorious’s third ever professional fight he lost at featherweight to Artemji Sitenkov.

The defeats he has suffered will be far from his mind though after wrapping up his latest bout in under a minute and it now sets up a list of exciting potential fights.
