Losing a football match in the last minute is always a gut-wrenching experience, so it’s no surprise that Chelsea fans were quick to vent their anger on social media following Saturday’s 1-0 defeat away at Newcastle United.Isaac Hayden’s flicked header in the dying seconds was enough to earn the home side all three points at St James’ Park.But many Chelsea fans felt that goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga could - and, indeed, should - have done more to prevent the goal.The Spaniard got a hand to the ball but only proceeded to help it into the back of his own net.This was one of just two shots on target that Newcastle had during the entire 90 minutes.

Kepa, who became the most expensive goalkeeper of all time when the Blues splashed out £71 million for his services in August 2018, was heavily criticised by Chelsea fans on social media.

And some of them have publicly questioned whether the club should replace the 25-year-old this summer.

Those Chelsea fans who want him out probably won’t be overly shocked to discover that Kepa has the worst save percentage in the Premier League this season.

That’s a pretty damning statistic.

None of West Ham’s four goalkeepers to have played in the Premier League this season feature on the list, presumably because they haven’t made more than the average number of appearances.

The Sun claim that Kepa also has one of the lowest save percentages in the whole of Europe, raking 127th out of 132 goalkeepers from Europe’s top seven leagues.

Chelsea fans are certainly within their rights to feel Kepa isn’t currently pulling his weight judging by these concerning numbers.

And unless his performances improve between now and the end of the season, Frank Lampard will have a big decision to make ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.

It was recently reported that the Chelsea boss is keen to offload Kepa in the summer and has instructed his recruitment staff to identify a replacement.
