Conor McGregor earned £1.5million-per-second for his knockout victory over Donald Cerrone last night in Las Vegas.
The Irishman claimed he would pocket £60million for the fight, which lasted just 40 seconds after he landed a flurry of heavy blows from the start.
Winnings for the fight will total around £3.8million, with the rest of McGregor’s earnings coming from pay-per-view money.
If the Irishman's calculations are to be correct, that means he earned a staggering £1.5m-per-second for the 40-second bout.

The fight was McGregor’s first since his defeat to Russia’s Khabib Nurmagomedov back in October 2018.
That loss was only the fourth of the Irishman’s career and saw him take a break from the sport, which helped to build up the anticipation for his return at UFC 246.
His return to the Octagon was a more successful affair, with the Irishman landing early shoulder blows to stun Cerrone.
McGregor followed this up with a huge kick and a flurry of left-handed shots to the head which left Cerrone unable to reply, giving McGregor the knockout win.
The victory means the ‘Notorious’ is the first fighter in UFC history to secure knockouts at featherweight, lightweight and welterweight.
He has previously beaten fighters including Jose Aldo, Nate Diaz and Eddie Alvarez, and was a two-time world champion before his loss to Khabib.
McGregor predicted an emphatic win before the fight and certainly delivered as he provided fans all around the world with a hugely entertaining performance.
He is a former world champion at both 145 and 155 pounds, but the step up in weight did not stop him from landing some heavy blows.
His opponent Cerrone said after the fight: “He got me with his elbows right away and distorted me. He caught me way off guard”.
It is unclear whom McGregor will fight next, but many are touting a rematch with Khabib Nurmagomedov after their controversial bout at UFC 229.
Other fighters that are in contention include America’s Jorge Masvidal and current UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman.
