Roy Keane was optimistic about Manchester United's chances of beating Liverpool earlier on Sunday. The Irishman said on Sky that it would not be a shock if United beat the Reds at Anfield."The word upset has been mentioned. Manchester United getting a result against Liverpool is not an upset. It's Manchester United," Keane told Sky Sports, per Yahoo."They'll have to play well, particularly the goalkeeper, but they're more than capable of getting a result."It will be very difficult, it's always a tough game. But this idea that it's beyond them to get a result here [at Anfield] is ridiculous."
- Roy Keane doesn't think Liverpool are a great team
- 10 of the best debuts ever
- 10 most expensive PL signings ever ranked
However, roughly 25 minutes before kick-off, Keane's mindset changed.
Keane saw a number of United players, including Luke Shaw, warming up with a hat.
And that tipped Keane over the edge.
"When I see Shaw coming back into the team... the nearer we're getting to kick-off, the more worried I'm getting," he said. "I was fine about two hours ago.
"But when I see the players getting warmed up in silly hats..."
Imagine getting so wound up for someone warming up with a hat on.
Keane was also not happy about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Harry Maguire's pre-match interviews.
"I've heard Ole getting interviewed there and Maguire... it's as if their mindset is they don't want to get beaten. That's negative talk already. I'm worried, I have to say."
Never change, Keano.
