Conor McGregor is not only a natural fighter, he's a natural talker as well. As a result, he's been linked with a move from UFC to WWE now for many years.Several former MMA fighters before McGregor have made the transition from UFC to WWE such as Ken Shamrock and Ronda Rousey. Plenty have gone the other way as well such as Brock Lesnar and CM Punk. The latest to make the jump from UFC to WWE is Cain Velasquez, and many expect WWE to heavily use him in 2020. He thinks Notorious could be successful if he makes the transition too. When the former UFC Heavyweight Champion was asked if McGregor could make the switch from UFC to WWE, he said 'definitely' because of his natural speaking ability.Velasquez said during an interview with BT Sport: "I think he'd be well suited because of his promos. That's probably the hardest part and he nails that.

"And he's just a great athlete so he can definitely do it, yeah!"

McGregor has ripped into superstars and teased joining the WWE in the past, most notably last April when he congratulated Becky Lynch for winning the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship at WrestleMania 35.

He tweeted at the time: "Stephanie McMahon you are right, I could not do what these athletes do. Or could I..."

However, he's unlikely to step foot inside the squared circle anytime soon due to his recent success inside the Octagon.

Notorious defeated Donald Cerrone inside the first round of their fight at UFC 246 on Saturday night with just 40 seconds gone in the clash.

McGregor is now expected to fight either Jorge Masvidal or Khabib Nurmagomedov under the UFC banner next, or he could possibly have another boxing match against Floyd Mayweather.

Either way, WWE is going to have to cough up the big bucks if they are to have any hope of signing the former UFC Lightweight Champion to any deal to compete in the squared circle.

Nevertheless, with the Royal Rumble just around the corner and with WrestleMania coming up soon for WWE, there will likely be plenty of rumours and reports linking McGregor to one of, or possibly both of those shows.
