Liverpool goalkeepers love a pitch-long celebration when it comes to Manchester United games.

After David Ngog rounded off a 2-0 victory over the Red Devils in 2009, Pepe Reina went barrelling down the Anfield pitch and jumped on his teammates as part of the wild celebrations.

And ten years on, Alisson Becker inherited the baton with a similar sprint and it was arguably even more warranted considering he provided the assist for Mohamed Salah's strike.

The Brazilian has long been known for his distribution and when he saw Salah lurking in his own half behind United's defensive line, he picked him out perfectly with a kick from his hands.

Salah dispatched the one-on-one finish past David de Gea and low and behold, the first player who then arrived at his feet to celebrate was Alisson himself.

Alisson's wild celebration

Iconic images have emerged of the shot-stopper knee-sliding towards Salah - who had removed his red jersey in pure ecstasy - in front of 50,000 rapturous Kopites.

No matter what happens in Liverpool's Premier League title hunt, as well as their Champions League campaign, you can guarantee it will endure as one of the most memorable moments.

But how exactly did Alisson beat his Liverpool teammates to the scene? Did he set off incredibly early just knowing Salah would score or is he secretly a world-class sprinter?

Full footage of Alisson's celebration

Well, amidst all the footage of Alisson's unbridle joy, a video has now surfaced of his entire sprint down the pitch and it highlights his brilliant commitment to the celebration.

Just four seconds after Salah rippled the Kop End net, Alisson can be seen barrelling towards the centre circle and he's sliding across the grass to his teammate just eight seconds later.

It's no wonder the original clip has already racked up 15,000 'likes' and 3,700 retweets, so check it out for yourself down below:

Maybe there's a career in sprinting for Alisson when he hangs up his gloves...

Ok, sure, it's nothing to get Adama Traore quaking in his boots, but you've got to love the speed with which he celebrated Liverpool going 16 points clear at the top and 30 points above United.

It also marked a seventh consecutive Premier League clean sheet for the 27-year-old and that moves him about United loanee Dean Henderson in the chase for the Golden Glove.

That, and the fact Alisson covered as much ground of the Anfield pitch as it would take Manchester City and Leicester City to possibly catch the 2019/20 champions in all but name.
