Liverpool moved another step closer to wrapping up their first Premier League title on Sunday night with a 2-0 victory over rivals Manchester United at Anfield.Jurgen Klopp’s side sealed their 21st victory (from only their 22nd league fixture) of what has been a remarkable and unprecedented campaign so far.If anything, the 2-0 scoreline flattered the visitors. Liverpool were excellent value for their two-goal victory, dominating large periods of the match and outclassing their opponents in every area of the pitch.Man Utd might be fifth in the Premier League table as things stand, but they now find themselves an incredible 30 points behind the Merseyside outfit, who will surely win the title from this position. It would now take a capitulation of epic proportions for them not to go on and lift the trophy they’ve craved for so long.

Virgil van Dijk’s powerful header from a Trent Alexander-Arnold corner put the Reds 1-0 up in the 14th minute.

And Mohamed Salah finally killed the game off in stoppage time, following a tense second half, after being played in by goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Salah’s goal will live long in the memory of Liverpool fans. The Egyptian forward, who took his shirt off to celebrate, and everyone else inside Anfield felt this was a huge moment in the club’s push for the title.

Reds watching the action from home weren’t particularly impressed with Martin Tyler’s commentary on Sky Sports. You can listen to it here…

And here’s some of the reaction on Twitter…

Liverpool fans on social media have long had beef with Tyler’s commentary. Rightly or wrongly, they feel the veteran Sky Sports commentator lacks emotion when it comes to commentating on Liverpool goals.

However, they can’t get enough of Peter Drury, who tends to provide commentary for the Premier League’s international feed.

And they are loving Salah’s goal even more with Drury’s commentary. Listen to it here….

“Salah to settle it… in front of the Kop!” Drury shouts. “There’s no feeling like that feeling!

“He wins it for Liverpool, where he wanted to win it - and Alisson has run the length of the pitch, to join in a special party.”

Lovely stuff.

If Liverpool fans had their way, Drury would be commentating on all of their games between now and the end of the season.
