Manchester United are leading the race to sign Palermo forward Javier Pastore, according to reports in the Argentine forward's homeland.
The highly rated 21-year-old is apparently on the verge of a £34 million transfer to the English giants, despite interest from Barcelona.
Pastore had previously revealed his dream to play for the Catalan club, with reports suggesting fellow countryman Lionel Messi was urging Pep Guardiola to splash out on the youngster.

With 10 goals in Serie A this season, Pastore had also attracted the attention of Manchester City manger Roberto Mancini, who admitted his interesting in signing the attacking midfielder during the January transfer window.
