After months of going through squash matches against unknown teams and clearing out the actual tag team division, many fans were wondering what was left for the Viking Raiders to accomplish on Raw.Erik and Ivar captured the Raw Tag Team Championships in October from Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler, and the likes of the Street Profits, Gallows and Anderson and Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins have all been disposed of.It's made Raw's tag division look incredibly weak, with only the AOP left to really challenge them, but they would end up taking on another makeshift tag team for their titles on Raw.When Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe brought out the Raiders to even the odds against Seth Rollins' new stable, it looked like AOP would be the new feud for them going forward. But not long after all eight men brawled, a match was made - Erik and Ivar would put their titles on the line against Rollins and his new recruit - Buddy Murphy.

Considering they've hardly been defeated on the main roster, expectations were that the Raiders would not be losing so soon after becoming embroiled in the war against Rollins' faction.

But WWE's writers sometimes have the ability to throw a curveball right at us, and that's what they did by having Rollins and Murphy walk out of Wichita as the new Raw Tag Team Champions.

Of course though as the heels they had to win in a very underhand way - Rollins hit a Stomp to Erik on the side of the ring when he was between the ropes - and with Ivar nowhere to be seen, Murphy was left to secure the victory.

The Australian had gone from losing to Aleister Black three straight times to winning the Tag Titles in the space of a week - pretty nice going for him.

This is now the fifth different partner that Rollins has won the titles with, and no doubt that this will not be a long reign, as the Monday Night Messiah is predominantly a main event singles wrestler.

But it will allow the writers to revitalise the tag team division as we head towards WrestleMania, and it may either cause dissension within Team Rollins or we could be gearing up for a long run with Rollins and Murphy as champs.
