Michael Bisping is backing Conor McGregor vs Nate Diaz 3 next

Following his impressive 40-second demolishing of Donald Cerrone at UFC 246 in Las Vegas, the ‘Notorious’ is seeking his next fight.

A lot has been made about who could possibly be next for the Irishman, but it seems that one legendary figure in the sport knows who it is.

UFC legend Michael Bisping believes McGregor will come up against Nate Diaz for the third time in his next fight, as reported by The Mirror.

Before his fight on Saturday, McGregor called out four rivals for potential future encounters, including Khabib Nurmagomedov and his upcoming opponent Tony Ferguson.

It’s not just his next opponent who the Irishman is targeting, he is also plotting an attempt at the 170Ib title in the near future and the BMF title.

Those straps are currently held by Kamaru Usman and Jorge Masvidal.

Even though these opponents for McGregor could happen, Bisping believes it is Diaz who is the prime contender for his next fight as Ramadan rules out devout Muslim Khabib.

“I guarantee he fights Nate Diaz next,” UFC legend Bisping has said.

“Khabib isn’t going to fight him next, he is going to fight Tony Ferguson on April 18 and he will then have Ramadan.

“So even if beats Tony, he is not going to fight anyone else soon.

“Conor has already teased Diaz and it is good business, the fans and everybody else wants to see it and it makes money. That is what happens, that is my prediction.”

McGregor’s coach John Kavanagh, on the other hand, has identified Justin Gaethje as a potential fight that McGregor should set his sights on.

“Justin Gaethje at 170 [pounds]. That would be my personal preference.”

When pressed why, he added: “Because he’s another lightweight. None of them have to cut weight.
“The vision is getting that 155lb belt back so it’s a step towards that.”
