Before last weekend, Liverpool fans were refusing to dream of winning the Premier League title. But after Manchester City dropped points at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday and Jurgen Klopp’s side followed it up with a 2-0 win against rivals Manchester United on Sunday, supporters have dared to dream.“We’re going to win the league” could be heard being chanted around Anfield after Mohamed Salah ensured the Reds went 16 points clear at the top of the league with a game in hand.Surely now, it’s a matter of WHEN and not IF Liverpool win the Premier League.Fans are already trying to work out the game in which they can officially be crowned champions.

At the moment, the crowning moment could come during their trip to the Etihad to face Manchester City on April 4. That would be very sweet.

In fact, Kopites are so sure it’s going to happen that they’ve been naming the player that want to score the goal that officially seals the title.

Liverpool fan account @AnfieldEdition asked fans that very question and there were an incredible amount of replies from supporters giving their opinion.

The most popular answer by a country mile? Captain Jordan Henderson.

Once upon a time at Anfield, Henderson was a scapegoat as fans turned on the £20 million signing for simply not being Steven Gerrard. He’s now the club captain and has developed into a cult hero on Merseyside with his incredible effort in every single match.

The second most popular shout was the one and only Divock Origi. Last season, the Belgian scored some crucial late goal - as well as a brace in the unbelievable comeback against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final before adding another in the final. We question whether Origi would produce a celebration worthy of a title-winning goal, though…

There’s also lots of love for Trent Alexander-Arnold. Seeing the one and only scouser in Liverpool’s first XI score the goal to win them the league would be some story.

Elsewhere, there are some rather funny shouts including a Raheem Sterling own-goal in the 95th minute at the Etihad.

In truth, Liverpool fans won’t care how their title-winning goal comes. They’ve been waiting 30 years for it after all...
