The boxing heavyweight division has been recently dominated by British duo Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, as well as American fighter Deontay Wilder.

Their explosive knockouts and exciting performances in the ring are ever present, however, the psychological warfare outside the ring plays just as big a part.

The latest instalment in the heavyweight rivalry came with Fury making a bold statement where he predicted if Joshua was to fight Wilder, then the ‘Bronze Bomber’ would win with a second-round knockout.

The ‘Gypsy King’ is known for voicing his strong opinions about fellow competitors and it will definitely not be the last time he tries to get into the head of AJ.

Despite Fury’s comments, Joshua will be confident at the moment after he put in arguably his most well-rounded performance yet, defeating Andy Ruiz Jr by decision to regain his WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO world championship belts.

However, he did still give his thoughts on Tyson Fury’s comments, saying: "That's the same man that bet on Martin to beat me, Parker to beat me. He's a bit of a waffler. He even said he spoke to McGregor on the phone, that was a lie as well."

Joshua is known to rarely get wound up by comments from other fighters and has enjoyed proving Fury and other doubters wrong in the past.

However, before Joshua can even plan on fighting Wilder, the American aims to defeat Fury as they meet for their hugely anticipated rematch on February 22.

The first fight finished as a draw as Fury climbed up off the canvas twice to maintain his unbeaten professional record.

Joshua has already spoken about fighting the winner of the Wilder vs Fury 2 bout.

Who that will be? We will find out in Las Vegas on February 22.
