David Luiz had a nightmare return to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.
The Brazilian defender was booed by the Chelsea fans who once cheered him during the opening stages oft he match.
And he was shown a straight red card in the 26th minute after bringing down Tammy Abraham inside the penalty area.
A calamitous back-pass from Shkodran Mustafi (who else?) failed to find Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno, who was caught in two minds over whether to come out of his penalty area.
Leno’s dallying allowed Abraham to advance past the ‘keeper and into the box, where Luiz brought down the striker.

Watch the incident here…
Why on earth did Luiz not just allow Abraham to take the shot?
Mustafi may even have recovered to clear the ball in time.
The referee also gave a penalty, which Jorginho duly converted.
To add insult to injury, Chelsea fans were then heard chanting: “David Luiz he’s one of our own!”
He won’t forget this night in a hurry.
