Gabriel Martinelli continued his impressive debut season with a goal against Chelsea on Tuesday night.

The 18-year-old showed great composure to carry the ball over the halfway line and slot it past Kepa Arrizabalaga without a second thought.

He was arguably Arsenal's best player over 90 minutes and helped the Gunners secure a shock 2-2 draw after going down to 10 men.

There's no doubt Martinelli has a big, big future ahead of him - and his performance got us thinking - who are the highest rated teenagers in Europe this season?

Thanks to statistics from WhoScored, we can find out - and there are certainly some interesting surprises.

Europe is absolutely stacked with young talent. So much so, that only one Premier League player is in the top 30 - and it's not Martinelli.

Instead, Manchester United left-back Williams is flying the flag for England's top flight.

Matty Longstaff and Callum Hudson-Odoi just miss out on the list, ranking at 31 and 32 respectively, while Martinelli is actually way back in 57th place, with an average rating of 6.40.

Of course, Haaland's place at the top is debatable.

He's only played one game in the Bundesliga after joining Dortmund, but considering he netted a 20-minute hat-trick after coming on, we believe he's worthy of being there.

That means Dortmund have the two highest-rated teenagers in Europe with Sancho just behind him. The future is certainly bright for the Bundesliga side.
