Arjen Robben will forever be remembered as one of the greatest wingers to have graced a football pitch.Despite injury issues throughout his career, the Dutchman was simply unstoppable when fully fit and was one of the world's best players during his time with Bayern Munich.Robben and Franck Ribery were the deadliest of duos during their time together in Bavaria, scoring and creating goals for fun.For Ribery, the Frenchman scored a variety of goals and was sometimes asked to play as a false nine by Pep Guardiola to help influence matters in the centre of the pitch. That wasn't the case for Robben. The Dutchman was always dispatched to the right-hand side of attack and most of his goals were eerily similar.

Cut in from the right, leave a defender for dead and curl the ball past the goalkeeper with pinpoint accuracy - that was the Robben way.

So on his 36th birthday, let's all sit back and watch a video of Robben doing just that over and over again.

Defenders knew what he was going to do, but were powerless to stop Robben at full tilt.

Few players have ever mastered one trick quite like the Bayern legend.

However, there were those rare occasions when Robben showed he had a few more ploys up his sleeve - most notably a vicious volley.

His goal away Manchester United in the 2009/10 Champions League is - to this very day - one of the most aesthetically-pleasing goals ever scored.

ROBBEN'S BEAUTY VS MAN UTD

Robben's 201 appearances in the Bundesliga yielded 99 goals and 62 assists, a goal contribution every 86 minutes.

When the next generation look back on the Dutchman's many highlight reels, they will realise we were blessed to watch a special talent master his craft.

We salute you, Arjen!
