Liverpool may have to make do without Sadio Mane in the crucial weeks to come. The Senegalese winger had to come off tonight against Wolves after just over half an hour of play.Mane appeared to pick up the issue when attempting to support Mohamed Salah as Liverpool broke on the counter. He quickly pulled up, before falling to the turf with an apparent hamstring injury and eventually being replaced by January signing Takumi Minamino.Mane was seen smiling as he spoke to Jurgen Klopp before going down the tunnel, so Liverpool fans will be praying the injury isn't too serious.

Especially with the Champions League returning in a few weeks.

However, Liverpool's first-leg tie against Atletico Madrid is not scheduled until February 18, meaning Klopp and his staff have ample time to get Mane back to full fitness.

If the African Footballer of the Year's hamstring knock is only minor, there will be genuine hope that he can play in the Wanda Metropolitano.

Should Mane be unavailable, Klopp may have to turn to his Champions League hero from last season, Divock Origi.

The brilliant Belgian scored twice against Barcelona and notched the crucial second in the final against Tottenham.

Not a bad player to call upon!

FANTASY FOOTBALL NIGHTMARE

Mane's injury is also bad news for the majority of Fantasy Premier League players.

The Liverpool man was triple captained by just over 270,000 people for his double gameweek, with the Reds travelling to West Ham next Wednesday.

Sadly, it looks like those who took the risk will receive a measly three-point return.

We can only pray for more assists from Trent Alexander-Arnold!
