SAnitY were one of WWE's most dominant stables during their time in NXT.

Together, Alexander Wolfe, Killian Dain, Nikki Cross and Eric Young became very popular with fans and even won tag team gold on the developmental brand.

But in April 2018, SAnitY - without Cross - were called up to the main roster, wrestled a handful of matches and then disappeared from TV for almost 12 months.

The stable were officially disbanded in the 2019 Superstar Shakeup when Young was transferred to RAW and Wolfe moved to NXT UK.

Thus, the SAnitY experience was over before it had even started and fans were left wondering exactly what went wrong. To this day, we still don't know.

It was most likely down to creative having nothing for them, or just the fact they got lost amongst what was a stacked SmackDown tag team division that included The New Day, The Bar and The Usos.

Despite having a short run on the main roster, pro-wrestling loves a comeback so it wouldn't be out of the question to see SAnitY return. In fact, that's something Nikki Cross would like to see.

"You never know [we could return]!" Nikki exclusively told GIVEMESPORT ahead of WWE's move to BT Sport last week.

"Killian Dain is my husband, I’m best friends with Alexandre Wolfe who is on NXT UK and then Eric Young is on RAW.

"I would never rule anything out, especially in professional wrestling. You never know. But for me, it was more about the bond that we shared.

"The bond that Sanity shared was off-screen just as much as it was on-screen. So for me, we’re that crazy little weird family.

"We'll get together again for family reunions and Christmas Dinners! So never rule anything out.

"Getting to learn from those guys, I was so fortunate. I was very lucky to be in that position."

Even though the SAniY members are wrestling across different WWE brands, they remain as close as ever and it seems Cross especially is open to a comeback - or a 'family reunion'.

There's no doubt that most fans would love to see them given a proper chance on the main roster, too.
