As for Iniesta, the playmaker supreme only managed 150 assists in 715 games for Barcelona and Vissel Kobe, with only 29 more coming in his 131 matches for Spain.
Surprising numbers, eh?
Of course, Xavi and Iniesta’s legacies are far more than just numbers on a website; they were the greatest midfield partnership of all-time.
But the data has to reinforce the point that Ronaldo’s ability to setup his teammates, as well as score a plethora of goals, is magnificent and it’s only bettered by Messi.
The Argentine is currently on 690 goals and 298 assists at the age of 32, outrageous numbers.
His ability to balance finding the back of the net and create may never be seen again.
