Inter Milan is something of a Manchester United graveyard right now. However, instead of players going to the Italian clubs to die, they appear to be thriving.Well, Romelu Lukaku is anyway. The Belgian has scored 14 Serie A goals in 20 matches this season and looks a completely different player to the one we saw at Old Trafford. As for Alexis Sanchez, well he’s been injured for almost the entire season.

But now, they’ve been joined by former United captain Ashley Young.

The 34-year-old joined Inter the month for a £1.28 million fee and was handed his debut in their home match against Cagliari.

He started a right-back and it only took his 29 minutes to produce an assist.

Young received the ball in the right-back position, took a touch and whipped in a beautiful cross for Lautaro Martínez to head home.

Ironically, United fans often criticised Young for his crossing ability - or lack of.

But it seems he’s instantly refound it in Italy.

Young has initially signed on a six-month deal but there’s an option to extend it beyond the summer.

A few more assists and Antonio Conte will no doubt be signing Young up for next season too.

An Inter win would put them within one point of Juventus - although the Old Lady have a game in hand.

The Nerazzurri are looking to win their first Serie A title for 10 years and Young’s experience could help them achieve just that.
