We are not far away from the Men's Royal Rumble match from taking place, and Brock Lesnar will enter the bout at number one.

It's rare to see a world champion in the Rumble match, but with no viable challengers for his WWE Title, Lesnar has taken the unusual step of entering to prove his dominance over everyone in the company.

With Lesnar being the number one entrant, speculation is rife as to who will face him at number two.

Many think it may be Cain Velasquez, but the name Matt Riddle has cropped up more often than not.

The NXT star and former UFC fighter has noted on multiple occasions how he would like to 'retire Lesnar', and many think that it would be a perfect way to debut him on the main roster.

Whatever happens though, it looks like the two men have met before the match has occurred though, and it is being reported that they have gotten into some kind of altercation backstage at the Rumble.

According to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet's sources, Lesnar confronted Riddle as he wanted to know 'the reality of the situation between them'.

It's thought that neither men had met each other before, but Brock would have known full well who Riddle is.

Satin clarified that three different backstage sources have told him that the altercation was a real-life situation and not something for show, and it seems awfully similar to the encounter that Riddle had with Goldberg at SummerSlam.

If true, this will only hype up fans who want to see the two men get it on in the Rumble match, and surely the WWE creative team will be aware of the interest in it.

It's good that the physicality's have been kept for the ring though - but if they DO meet, keep your eye on Brock's elbows, he's known to go stiff from time-to-time...
