Nicklas Bendtner has found a new calling: reality TV star.

According to Danish publication dr, the former Arsenal striker is to feature in his own reality show alongside his model girlfriend, Philine Roepstorff.

The show ‘Bendtner and Philine’ has been commissioned by Discover Networks and will air in the spring.

It will follow in the aftermath of Bendtner’s autobiography and will be "on the sidelines when Bendtner has to make big decisions on the career front, and when Philine is living the model life and travelling around the world on her own".

The 32-year-old is without a club after leaving Copenhagen in 2019 following a brief spell.

He said in a press release: “Both Philine and I are used to being in the media spotlight.

“Many stories are written about us, and we often find that only half the truth emerges.

“In my book, I talk about the ups and downs that have shaped my life and my career so far, and this series is a natural continuation of that tale.”

The Danish striker added: “We considered for a long time whether our relationship was strong enough to handle all the attention that comes naturally when you say yes to letting a camera crew get really close.

"We were well aware that it wouldn't become a glossy tale with us as protagonists. But, we've never been interested in that either."

Bendtner’s football career is at a crossroads following a stint at Copenhagen that lasted just three minutes.

He joined the club in September but left at the end of 2019 after scoring just one goal.

“There is no doubt that I had a dream that it would turn into more playing time and maybe a longer deal,” Bendtner said, per the Daily Mail.

“But I fully respect the decision made by Stale [Solbakken, the manager], and I do not regret in any way that I got this time.

“Now I want to think about my future and think carefully about whether I should try a new adventure in the football world or stop and start some new adventures in life.”

It seems Bendtner has opted for the latter option. Move over, Kardashians.
