Call of Duty fans can look forward to an exciting new game mode this week after the game's playlist update goes live this week.
Activision has taken the best of Team Deathmatch and Domination and smushed them together to form a hybrid mode which will be known as 'Deathmatch Domination'.
Combining two of the most popular respawn mode looks to be a smart move and promises to be a really fun mode.
It really is a win-win for everyone involved as objective players will be able to go about pushing and defending flags while slayers can carry on seeking kills to their heart's content.
“Deathmatch Domination combines TDM and Domination into an epic mashup that rewards players for getting kills and playing the objective,” Activision said in a new post on its blog.
- 'Mario Kart Mobile' finally gets a multiplayer mode
- 'SSX Tricky' could be getting a remaster
- PS5 will be completely 'futureproof'
“Capture the flags and take down enemies in your path and both will push your team to victory on the scoreboard. Focus on staying alive while holding objective areas to maximize your team’s chances of getting the win.”
On top of the new hybrid mode, two further game modes are expected to be introduced with the update with Shipment 24/& set to be reintroduced.
Alongside that, Activision is planning a variant of the Two-v-Two gunfight that will allow players to choose their loadouts instead of just being handed a random one.
The blog also stated that individual Battle Pass tiers will be on sale from January 31 and ending on Feb. 3.
Players will be able to purchase tiers for 100 CoD Points ($1) if they’ve fallen behind on finishing their pass before the season ends later in February.
It looks like it could be a thoroughly enjoyable week for COD fans as they take on 'Deathmatch Domination'.
