Matt Riddle is perhaps one of the most outspoken men signed to a WWE contract, and proved that with his comments about Goldberg last year. But there's a man that has been on his hit-list for a lot longer than Goldberg, and that's Brock Lesnar.Ever since the former UFC star stepped into a wrestling ring, Riddle has spoken about retiring Lesnar, and that was before he was signed up by WWE.There were reports swirling around during the Royal Rumble event this past Sunday that Lesnar and Riddle had become embroiled in a 'verbal altercation' backstage. That was followed up with sources telling talkSPORT's Alex McCarthy that Riddle was told by Lesnar that he would 'never, ever work with him'.

Those words would seemingly crush any chance of Riddle working with the Beast Incarnate considering the kind of pull he has with the top brass of WWE.

But Riddle isn't taking no for an answer.

The official YouTube account of WWE's Performance Center released a video today of Riddle's Royal Rumble journey, and he clearly says he wanted to 'get his hands' on Brock during the match.

And then Riddle seemingly confirmed the gossip from backstage regarding Lesnar's apparent comments to him, by saying that he 'doesn't care if Brock doesn't want the match or not' - as he's going to get it.

Even though Lesnar said that he'll never work with Riddle, there must be a reason as to why WWE are pushing their names together like this - and it wasn't even just this video.

On WWE's online show 'The Bump' earlier today, presenter Dan Vollmayer asked Riddle whether he would've liked to have entered earlier to face-off with Lesnar, which surely means that WWE are taking note of the whole situation.

Simply put - Riddle has guaranteed that he gets his hands on Lesnar in a match somewhere down the road.

How far down that road remains to be seen, but Vince McMahon would surely be a fool to not make it happen at this point!
