Barcelona are preparing a last-minute £20 million bid for Willian.

The Chelsea winger has long been linked with a move to Camp Nou and it seems rumours of his move to Spain re-appear during every transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, the La Liga champions are now hoping to tempt the Brazilian away from Stamford Bridge before the January window closes in two days.

This news comes just hours after Barca were said to have made an £85 million bid for Everton forward Richarlison, which was rejected by the Premier League club.

Willian has been one of Chelsea's better players this season, featuring 30 times in all competitions. He's managed five goals and five assists during those games.

Now 31, the winger still has time to make an impact at one of Europe's elite clubs. However, he's fearful that Chelsea may miss out on Champions League football next season.

"I think we have to be careful," he told The Mirror.

"If we don't then maybe at the end of the season we will be out of the top four. We have time, we have a five-point gap, so now it is time to improve.

"I don't know if it is concentration. We have to see what we can improve. We have to improve at home, and we have to be more stable, win more games.

"To stay in the top four we have to win games, so now is the time to see which part of the game we have to improve."

Willian is no doubt committed to the cause at Stamford Bridge, but would he really turn down a move to Barca

After all, Frank Lampard has made it clear he's building a young side and Willian doesn't exactly fit into that philosophy.

Perhaps a last-minute move could benefit all parties? Although, it would leave Chelsea with very little time to get a replacement in.
