Christian Eriksen made his Inter Milan debut on Wednesday night, just a day after completing his £16.9 million move from Tottenham. The 27-year-old ended his six-and-a-half-year spell with Spurs this week in order to embark on a new challenge in Italy."I have so many unbelievable memories over the last 6.5 years I was at Spurs," Eriksen said in an open letter on Twitter."I enjoyed being at the training ground every day and playing games in the stadium so much, but sometimes you just want to try something new."So, Spurs fans it has been a pleasure to play at your club and hopefully we meet again in the future.”

Eriksen didn’t start in Inter’s 2-1 Coppa Italia win over Fiorentina, but he made his bow after coming on for Alexis Sanchez in the 66th minute.

And his first free-kick, taken minutes later, has been shared across social media.

Let’s just say, Tottenham fans were not surprised by what happened next. Not one bit.

Watch it here…

Classic Eriksen.

Spurs fans will confirm that the vast majority of the Denmark international’s set-pieces never beat the first man.

Before the start of the season - per @SpursSatMan on Twitter - 62 per cent of all corners taken by Eriksen in the Premier League failed to beat the first man.

And Spurs fans had a chuckle after seeing Eriksen’s maiden set-piece for Inter…

However, there’s no denying that Eriksen is a class act and he showed what else Inter fans can expect to see from him over the coming seasons towards the end of his debut.

The playmaker drove into space and played a lovely through ball to Lautaro Martinez, who produced the finish.

However, the goal was ruled out because Martinez was marginally offside.

Eriksen could make his first start for the Nerazzurri against Udinese on Sunday.

A week later, Eriksen will get his first taste of the Milan derby as the two Italian rivals go head-to-head at the San Siro.
