Hatem Ben Arfa refused to do headers at Real Valladolid unveiling to avoid ruining his hair

Hatem Ben Arfa returned to football after joining La Liga outfit Real Valladolid on a six-month deal in January.
The former Newcastle United winger had been without a club since leaving French side Rennes in the summer of 2019.
But he’s joined Valladolid to help the Spanish club in their battle against relegation.
The sight of Ben Arfa wearing the number 3 on the back of his shirt is still completely bizarre.
He chose the number because, in his eyes, “it looked pretty.”
- Newcastle subject of £340m takeover bid
- 21 PL players the streets will never forget
- Arsenal have Upamecano agreement
Fair enough, Hatem.
Looking pretty is important to the 33-year-old.
During his Valladolid unveiling at the club’s Estadio Jose Zorrilla stadium, he actually refused to perform headers while doing keepy-uppies because he didn’t want to ruin his hair.
Right. Okay.
Valladolid fans - don’t expect much from your new man when your team are facing a corner.
Ben Arfa's actions led to some criticism on social media.

The Frenchman’s game is all about flair, skill and technique. He’s not about to get down and dirty, or ruin his hair for that matter.

The former Paris Saint-Germain winger will look to help Valladolid cement their status in La Liga as the Spanish top flight resumes.
Ahead of Saturday evening's game against Leganes, Valladolid sat 15th in the table.
Ben Arfa has made just two appearances for the club, failing to score.
