Arsenal target, defender Mamadou Sakho, has signed a new deal with his club Paris Saint-Germain, all but ending his chances of signing for the Gunners.
The 21-year-old has long been coveted by the Londoners and AC Milan but a two-year extenuation to his current deal, which now runs until 2014, has put any rumours of a move to England firmly to bed.
Speaking on the contract signing, PSG president Robin Leproux told RMC radio: "It’s a great joy for the club and all the fans. Mamadou is an iconic player for the club"
"We like his style, his energy. We want him to play for the club for a long time. We know he’s very attached to PSG."
After the news about Sakho's contract extension, Arsene Wenger will now turn his attention to trying to sign Everton defender Sylvain Distin.
