The 2020 men's Royal Rumble match was memorable for a few reasons, none more-so than the return of the legendary Edge after nine years away.

There was also the monumental moment of Drew McIntyre becoming the first ever British star to win the match, as he dumped Roman Reigns last to guarantee himself a title match at WrestleMania.

It was midway during the match where McIntyre entered, and almost immediately eliminated Brock Lesnar from the match after he was low-blowed by Ricochet.

Lesnar entered at number, and the WWE Champion went on an absolute tear-up, eliminating 13 straight superstars and just went into full no f**ks given mode, even dancing to MVP's theme music!

Some fans weren't happy that he eliminated the likes of Cesaro and John Morrison so quickly, but the pay-off of McIntyre Claymore Kicking him over the top rope was beautiful and well received.

It was on the strength of his performance alone in Houston that a WWE legend in John Cena has made the boldest of claims - that Lesnar is the greatest in-ring performer in WWE history.

"I thought the event was extra special. It was great to be able to watch it as a fan and not endure any fear of missing out and just enjoy the event," Cena told Sports Illustrated about the Rumble.

"And I can say with the utmost sincerity that I believe Brock Lesnar is best in-ring performer that I've seen and I know it's an opinion, and if you want a cool quote, here it is: I think he's the best in-ring performer of all time.

I thought his performance at the Rumble was a clinic on how to establish yourself, how to establish those around you, establish the championship, establish the importance of one event.

"He did so in less than 30 minutes, and I certainly don't have the skill set to do that, and it was awesome to be able to see a masterclass man put on a clinic on what to do and how to do it and I was really impressed with the Rumble."

And when asked if he thought Brock was the 'best ever', Cena responded with grace.

"I really do think so," said Cena. I genuinely think he has a good understanding of who he is.

"I think he's the best at when he needs to be dominant, he's the best in situations of jeopardy. He makes people better. He still has a mystique about him that will draw eyeballs to watch him and when he does he never disappoints.

"He believes so much in his presence, and he has such a definable presence you can't ignore him and he never wastes anyone's time and everything he does is special and everything he does meaningful and it's not all selfish.

"He's one of the most giving performers in the WWE and that is the mark of a true craftsman and a true professional. It was awesome to watch. My jaw dropped when I watched the Rumble."

After he was eliminated, most people could see the job that Lesnar did to make his own elimination mean something was admirable.

And if one of the GOATs of wrestling thinks he is the best to ever do it, who are we to disagree?

We just think that the likes of The Rock, Shawn Michaels, The Undertaker and many others would have something to say about that though...
