Chelsea are lining up a sensational swap deal for Alexandre Pato in exchange for £18 million plus Didier Drogba, according to talkSPORT.

Neither striker is first choice at their respective club, with Pato playing second fiddle to Robinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, while Drogba has fallen out of favour since the arrival of Fernando Torres.

Carlo Ancelotti is a known admirer if the 21-year-old from his days at the San Siro, while Drogba's age, 33, might make him surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge this summer.

Even with Milan odds on to win their first Serie A title for seven years, the constant competition for trophies at The Blues domestically and in Europe will surely tempt Pato, who has scored 11 goals in 16 Serie A appearances this season.
