Dan Biggar may as well take the trophy for the most magical moment of the Six Nations with a clever move in Wales’ win over Italy.Wayne Pivac’s side dominated the first half against Italy in Cardiff but their third try, on 29 minutes, was the stand-out moment.With his back to the main stand and the Italians only 22-yards from their line, Welsh stand-off Biggar executed a clever move to dispatch the ball to Josh Adams who dived over to convert his second try of the afternoon.The excellent trick occurred midway through a dominating half by Wales.Three Biggar penalty conversions got the scoreboard rolling before Adams travelled over the line to score Wales’ first try of the afternoon inside 18 minutes.Adams finished a second try thanks to Biggar’s technical move as they entered the break with a healthy lead.Nick Tompkins touched the ball down for a try with an outstanding finish 20 minutes into the second half before George North bundled over the line to record the bonus point.Josh Adams charged off the wing to score his hat-trick try right on the whistle as Wales eased to victory.It will be Biggar’s excellent trick that will be remembered by rugby fans though, with many turning to Twitter to react.

Italy captain Luca Bigi said: “We knew it was going to be a tough game. We have one extra day for rest until the next game.

“We showed what we worked on in training. Our set-piece didn’t go well. We have to be focused on every line-out, every scrum to create ball for our backs.”

Speaking afterwards, new Wales coach Pivac said: “Getting five points is really important but also we defended well.

“We’ve got plenty to work on. It was far from a perfect performance.

“There were some good performances. Nick Tompkins… people have seen what we’ve been saying and he’s a bright star for the future.”
