The Englishman is having quite the impact on the media circuit, so much so that he has now been handed his own BBC prime-time television show.

As reported by The Sun, the programme will be inspired by James Corden's 'Late Late Show' out in the US, with the likes of David Beckham already touted as guests.

Crouch - who is also a regular pundit on BT Sport - has been signed up by Corden's production company Fulwell 73.

A source told The Sun: “Peter has signed a rolling one-year deal with the BBC - and big things are expected.

“His podcast has shown his star quality and he has an array of unlikely celeb pals who are all happy to appear on his sofa.

“As well as his inaugural show starting in June, which is featured around the Euro 2020 tournament, he is being lined up as a regular chat show host in the mould of Graham Norton and Jonathan Ross.”

It really is hard to see the idea failing, given Crouch's undeniable popularity across the globe.

If all goes well, Graham Norton and Jonathan Ross are going to have some stiff competition when it comes to the ratings!
