There are few events in world sport quite like the Super Bowl. The final game of the NFL season is simply like no other, with millions around the world glued to their television screens on game day and fans desperate to get a ticket.Given the game's popularity, ticket prices are pretty darn ridiculous and Super Bowl LIV was no different. According to Fox, the average re-sale price of a ticket was around $7,049.So if you managed to bag a ticket to see the Kansas City Chiefs record a memorable comeback victory over the San Francisco 49ers, you'd be on the edge of your seat throughout, right?Well, that wasn't the case for one fan in Miami's Hard Rock Stadium.

A video from Sporting News deputy editor Karisa Maxwell has gone viral on Twitter after it showed one fan in the stadium taking a nap during the first quarter of the match.

VIDEO

That's one expensive nap!

Maxwell then tweeted that the man in question had finally awoken, writing: "Oh no... His friend is currently showing him the video. The whole section knows.

"WHAT DO I DO?!"

The fan in question can at least take solace in the fact that his nap was over way before the drama unfolded last night in Miami.

In the final 6:13, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs delivered 21 points to capture their first Super Bowl in nearly 50 years as they beat the 49ers 31-20.

It was certainly a memorable night in the sunshine state and thankfully for our sleep-loving fan, he didn't miss the bulk of the action.

Instead, he will simply remain a meme for the rest of his life!
