Liverpool are about to win their first ever Premier League title but they’re in danger of crashing out of the FA Cup tomorrow at the hands of League One Shrewsbury.

Jurgen Klopp’s side failed to win the original tie despite fielding a fairly strong side including Fabinho, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Divock Origi.

The Reds took a 2-0 lead but had to settle for a replay after the Shrews staged a superb fightback to draw 2-2.

An FA Cup replay during what was supposed to be Liverpool’s winter break didn’t go down too well with Klopp.

In fact, straight after the match, the German insisted that he nor any of his first-team players will take part in the replay.

"I said to the boys already two weeks ago that we will have a winter break which means we will not be there [to face Shrewsbury at Anfield]. It will be the kids who play that game," Klopp revealed.

"The Premier League asked us to respect the winter break. That's what we do. If the FA doesn't respect that, then we cannot change it. We will not be there.

"Does that mean I won't be there? Yes."

Klopp's decision certainly made headlines and there will be even more when the team sheet drops on Tuesday night.

So, who will be representing Liverpool in the replay?

Under 23 manager Neil Critchley is set to take charge and Liverpool journalist David Lynch has revealed Liverpool’s predicted XI in the Evening Standard.

Let’s take a look:

GK: Caoimhín Kelleher (21-years-old)

RB: Neco Williams (18-years-old)
CB: Sepp van den Berg (18-years-old)
CB: Ki-Jana Hoever (18-years-old)
LB: Adam Lewis (20-years-old)

CM: Pedro Chirivella (22-years-old)
CM: Leighton Clarkson (18-years-old)
CM: Jake Cain (18-years-old)

RW: Harvey Elliot (16-years-old)
LW: Curtis Jones (19-years-old)
ST: Joe Hardy (21-years-old)

If Liverpool do field that XI, you really have to consider Shrewsbury as favourites.

They might be 16th in League One but you’d image their football league experience and nous will get the better of a team full of youngsters playing in front of a sold-out Anfield.

Of course, the winner will play Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the fifth round but Liverpool’s dreams of a treble could be dashed by the Shrews.

Expect Klopp to be on the back pages once again on Wednesday morning...
