Braun Strowman finally won his first singles title in WWE when he won the Intercontinental Championship last week on SmackDown.

Strowman won the Intercontinental title when he pinned Shinsuke Nakamura on the blue brand show last Friday.

The Monster Among Men brings an end to The King of Strong Style’s mediocre reign, adding freshness and a new direction to the Intercontinental title picture as we approach WrestleMania.

With Strowman as Intercontinental Champion, there are now plenty of superstars on SmackDown, mostly heels, who can now enter the title picture and for it to make storyline sense.

Here are three superstars who should be feuding with Strowman next for the Intercontinental Championship on SmackDown.

Cesaro

Cesaro seems to be the likeliest pick to feud with Strowman next over the Intercontinental title thanks to his rejuvenation over the past few weeks while teaming with Nakamura.

The Swiss Cyborg needs to break away from The King of Strong Style, and the natural path for him to do that would be to go into business for himself and feud with The Monster Among Men for the Intercontinental title.

WWE should set up a triple threat for Elimination Chamber between Nakamura, Strowman and Cesaro. This seems like the most natural feud for Braun as we approach WrestleMania, but there are other options as well.

Sheamus

Another option for Strowman to feud with over the Intercontinental title is Sheamus, as he’s been booked strongly ever since he returned to the WWE from injury at the start of the year.

The Celtic Warrior is yet to lose since returning, most notably winning vs Shorty G at the Royal Rumble, which is building him up to be one of the top midcard heels on SmackDown on the road to WrestleMania.

Since Sheamus has never won the Intercontinental Championship as well, it could be a great spot for him to finally do so and become a deserving Grand Slam Champion.

King Corbin

One final feud option for Strowman as Intercontinental Champion is King Corbin, who is in need of a new storyline as his rivalry with Roman Reigns appears to have come to its conclusion.

Despite losing in his feud with The Big Dog, the 2019 King of the Ring winner is still arguably the top heel on the SmackDown thanks to his great work on the mic and in the ring, and therefore he should be in line to face The Monster Among Men.

Out of the three listed, Corbin has the best chance of defeating Strowman for the Intercontinental title, and it would be a great way to build both stars up for WrestleMania, as well as Universal title pushes later in 2020.

WWE needs to get Strowman's Intercontinental title reign off to a strong start to rejuvenate the title, and anyone of these three superstars would be the perfect opponent for The Monster Among Men for his first feud as Intercontinental Champion.
