Reported Liverpool target Eljero Elia is also the subject of interest from Juventus, it has been claimed.

The 24-year-old Hamburg winger has made only 15 appearances in the Bundesliga this season and his increased personal frustration has alerted a number of potential suitors.

Hamburger Morgenpost reported in January that Liverpool were keen to bring the €15 million-rated Holland international to Anfield during the winter transfer window and they are expected to reignite their interest in the summer.

Now, according to Corriere dello Sport, Juve are ready to rival Liverpool for the ex-Twente attacker while Wolfsburg are also reportedly interested in his signature.

Elia himself is at a loss to why his current first opportunities are so limited.

"Apparently there is not much confidence in me," he told Voetbal International.

"I don't know what I have done wrong, I have not been told. I know that I am not a bad player and I am in good shape.

"I am a player who needs confidence. If I play every week I will improve. No-one can accuse me of not working hard enough, I am as fit as a fiddle."

Along with Elia, Liverpool and Juventus are both reportedly pursuing Barcelona youngster Bojan Krkic and are set to lock horns in the summer.

Marca has claimed that Liverpool are 'confident' of landing the 20-year-old in their pursuit of attacking reinforcements, although Barca are said to only be willing to sanction a season-long loan deal.

Meanwhile, Corriere dello Sport suggests that the Bianconeri are ready to join Liverpool as they chase the Spain international, while Arsenal and Tottenham are also alleged to be in the race.
