Derrick Nnadi celebrates Super Bowl win by paying for the adoption of an entire dog shelter

Super Bowl LIV - San Francisco 49ers v Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs' Derrick Nnadi has celebrated his Super Bowl victory in a very unique way, by paying for adoptions at a dog sheltering service based in Kansas.

KC Pet Project announced the incredible news via its Facebook page, revealing that the Chiefs' number 91 had paid the adoption fees for every single adoptable dog at each one of their locations.

Nnadi and the rest of his squad pulled off an inspiring victory against the San Francisco 49ers, winning 31-20 in their first Super Bowl win in 50 years.

The dog shelter posted: "KC WINS! We are so excited to announce that the Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle, Derrick Nnadi is choosing to celebrate the Super Bowl win by paying for the adoptions of all the adoptable dogs currently at KC Pet Project!

"We have had an amazing, season-long, partnership with Derrick and he couldn’t have thought of a better ending."

An owner of two dogs himself, Nnadi first revealed a partnership with the KC Pet Project through the Derrick Nnadi Foundation in September.

With each victory for the Chiefs during the season, Nnadi pledged to pay the adoption fees for a dog waiting at the shelter for a new home.

Speaking to CBS News, as per UNILAD, the dog shelter revealed that every single one of the dogs which Nnadi had funded throughout the season have since found their new families.

"Thanks to his incredible support following this win, more than 100 available dogs in our care will have their adoption fees sponsored starting today.

"We’ve had an average of 20 new dogs coming into our shelter every day recently so this comes at a great time as our shelter is full of wonderful pets looking for homes."

It's always great to see people use their winnings for great causes, and Nnadi has supported a brilliant cause with this latest victory.

Congratulations to Derrick and the rest of the Chiefs on their Super Bowl triumph.
