Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury's titanic rematch is rapidly approaching.

With the famous Las Vegas lights beckoning, the boxing world is gearing up for what is going to be one of the biggest fights of the century.

The bad blood between the two fighters runs deep after their first bout in 2018 ended in a controversial draw.

Fury, who was knocked to the canvas by Wilder in that bout, claims wholeheartedly that he was robbed, and will be looking to settle the score on February 22 in Sin City.

Wilder, however, is one of the biggest punchers the heavyweight division has ever seen and you wouldn't blame him for being confident ahead of the massive rematch.

With that opening bell now coming into view, Wilder has been speaking to ESPN about the current state of the heavyweight division and, has been surprisingly complimentary about his arch-rival.

"He's a funny guy, he's a skilful fighter, a good fighter," he said of Fury.

"And for me, in my opinion, he's a breath of fresh air, being in the heavyweight division, being able to have great fights with a person that can help me promote a fight because I've come up and so many guys don't talk, or they don't want to say what they want to do, or hype the crowd.

"It's always been me promoting."

That was where the compliments stopped, however, as Wilder laid into the other big-name heavyweights currently plying their trade in the division.

When it came to British superstar Anthony Joshua, he really didn't mince his words.

"Just a straight coward, man. I just think coward - and that's it," he said.

Andy Ruiz Jr. also came in for heavy fire after his underwhelming performance in his Saudi Arabia rematch with the aforementioned Joshua.

"I was very disappointed in Andy Ruiz, maybe because I was so invested in it. I really wanted to see him really achieve greatness.

"Especially where he came from in boxing, almost getting evicted from his apartment.

"I don't know what eviction feels like - and I never want to know what that feels like to be homeless - but that was the verge that he was on, and an angel came and saved him.

"Gave him an opportunity, a GREAT opportunity to be a megastar [against Joshua].

"Ruiz beat him, knocked him out, knocked him down four times and got him out of there. He had the biggest fight of his life -- he let it all go [in the rematch]."

He then went on to tear into Dillian Whyte who he clearly has no time for at all.

"Where is the B-sample? Talking about drug tests, that's another one.

"Another guy that I consider to be the cheerleader of the division, I want to go even nastier with my words with him, but my energy is not allowing me to come up with nothing to say. That means something.

"But y' know, this is a guy who is just a compulsive liar, he's talking about this thing of wanting to fight me - but it's all lies."

Later on, he blasted Jarell Miller, calling him an 'idiot' for the way in which he blew his fight with Joshua before labelling Kubrat Pulev 'brave' and 'strong-willed'.

The time for the talking to be set aside is fast approaching though and before we know it the gloves will be out.

Wilder will be hoping to channel his raw power to finally do away with Fury but The Gypsy King is a sly old character and won't be easily beaten.

It is going to be quite a night.
