A few months after the tragic death of Eddie Guerrero in November 2005, Vince McMahon and WWE launched a new initiative to stop drug use and make sure any medical conditions didn't go unnoticed.15 years on though, and it doesn't look like some superstars have learnt anything from previous sanctions of WWE stars. The first big test of the policy came in August 2007, when another steroid scandal hit the company, as 11 superstars were suspended for using illegal pharmacies.Superstars have continued to be struck down most years, although 2014 was a suspension-free year, and in 2016, Paige's 60-day ban which was administered on October 16 was the last Wellness Policy violation for over three years. In December 2019, Robert Roode and Primo Colon were both struck down for 30 days, with the latter stating that the reasoning for his suspension was that he refused to fly to the United States for a test as WWE weren't using him on television.

And just last week yet another superstar was struck down by the Policy, as current United States Champion Andrade was suspended for 30 days.

If you thought the suspensions were over, then as Wade Barrett used to say - I'm afraid I've got some bad news.

According to the ever-reliable WrestleVotes, the 'word coming out of Raw' is that more bans are about to be hit, and he hinted that the next person to be given time off would be from Southern California.

The account then posted a picture of Californian Samoa Joe looking at his phone, but Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has confirmed that high-rank WWE officials have denied that Joe is about to be suspended.

That means it could be San Diego native Rey Mysterio, who was driven head-first into the concrete flooring by Angel Garza last night - the same act that has written Andrade off television for most of February.

It's important to note that not all Wellness Policy suspensions are for illegal drug usage - it could be for simply missing a test or not disclosing taking certain medication or procedures for injuries.

News of Andrade's suspension filtered through on a Tuesday last week, so stay tuned for any updates on whether WWE will be punishing any superstars today!
