The World Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones claims that he has nothing to hide after undertaking 42 drug tests in 2019.
The American has previously failed two drug tests, the first of his anti-doping violations came just a few days before his first fight with Daniel Cormier back in 2017.
In the first failed test they found long-term metabolite substance, while in the run-up to his UFC victory over Alexander Gustafsson in 2018, small doses of Turinabol, which is an anabolic steroid, were found.
An independent arbitrator deemed that Jones did not intentionally take the agent.
Jones has since tried to overturn the result of his 2017 with Cormier that resulted in a no-contest.

Speaking to MMA Junkie, Jones said: “At one point in 2019, I did almost 30 drug tests with USADA (U.S Anti Doping Agency) alone. I was one of the most heavily drug tested athletes in all sports.”
Jones continued: “What that shows is that I am willing to prove this situation I was in was never intentional.”
Jones debuted at UFC 87 against Andre Gusmao, where he won via unanimous decision in 2008.
The American won the Light Heavyweight Championship for the first time against Brazilian fighter Mauricio Rua in 2016, with the fight lasting just two minutes and 37 seconds.
Subsequently, Jones was stripped of the belt following his failed drug test in 2017 before reclaiming it a year later.
The reigning Lightweight Champion, nicknamed ‘Bones’, currently boasts an impressive record of 25-1 with his only loss coming by way of disqualification.
Jones’ next defence is against Dominick Reyes, who himself has an impressive 12-0 pro record, in the main event of UFC 247 on Saturday night in Houston Texas.
When asked his opinion on Jones, Reyes said: “He doesn’t want to lose, His ego drives him.”
One thing that is certainly apparent is the ambition of Jones to be exonerated of any wrongdoing and restore his reputation within the sport.
