Jordan Henderson is about to become the first ever Liverpool captain to lift the Premier League trophy.Jurgen Klopp’s side are 22 points clear at the top of the league and need just six more wins to guarantee glory. And it could be a double celebration for Henderson who is now favourite to win the PFA Player of the Year ahead of his fellow teammates. It’s been quite a journey for the former Sunderland player who has gone from the club’s scapegoat to a cult hero at Anfield. And he will become a club legend when he performs his now-famous shuffle when lifting the Premier League trophy in May.

But Henderson’s still got quite a way to go if he wants to be mentioned in the same breath as some of Premier League’s greatest midfielders.

And one tweet has summed that up perfectly.

Football Twitter account Ball Street decided to respond to a video of a Liverpool fan claiming Henderson was better than Paul Scholes.

The Liverpool supporter in question called Scholes the 'ginger Mark Noble'.

It took one sentence for Ball Street to make a mockery of that #UnpopularOpinion.

They revealed how “Paul Scholes has won more Premier League titles (11) than Jordan Henderson has won Man of the Match awards (8).”

That is some stat.

Scholes is regarded as one of the greatest players in Premier League history having spent 20 seasons in the top-flight with United.

He scored more than 100 goals during that time and, as mentioned, won the title 11 times.

Henderson has now played Premier League football for 11 season - two of which were at Sunderland.

He might be Liverpool’s hero right now but the 29-year-old is not quite in the same league as Scholes.
