Alisson has helped out with more baptisms in the last three months than he has conceded goals

Wolverhampton Wanderers v Liverpool FC - Premier League

Cast your minds back to the start of the season and Liverpool couldn’t buy a clean sheet.

They obviously weren’t helped by Alisson picking up a calf injury in the opening day victory over Norwich at Anfield.

But even after the Brazilian returned, he failed to keep a clean sheet in his next nine appearances in all competitions.

But a sending off against Brighton seemed to have changed everything.

Since then, Alisson has played 13 games and has conceded just two goals - against Monterrey and Wolves.

Remarkable.

And it’s also brought up a rather incredible statistic.

A tweet went viral earlier this week claiming that Alisson has conducted more baptisms in the last three months than he has conceded goals.

Fantastic.

Earlier this year, Alisson was seen helping baptise teammate and fellow Brazilian Roberto Firmino.

It was something that seemed to get Alisson rather emotional.

More recently, he was seen helping baptise the wife of Manchester United midfielder Fred.

Arguably the best goalkeeper in the world and a fantastic at doing baptisms as well. Is there anything this guy can’t do?

Liverpool have conceded just 15 goals in the Premier League this season as they command a 22-point lead at the top of table.

In recent weeks, Alisson has really staked his claim as the best goalkeeper in the world with some crucial saves at big moments.

The £67 million the club spent on him in the summer of 2018 is already looking like an absolute bargain.
