As the Wednesday Night War rumbles on, All Elite Wrestling seem to be doing at least one thing that NXT and WWE don't do.They are keeping a hot feud ongoing without the two superstars coming together for a match so early on in their rivalry. For example - instead of waiting until TakeOver: Portland for their NXT Championship match, Tommaso Ciampa and Adam Cole found themselves against each other in a six-man tag match last night at Full Sail.In contrast, AEW Dynamite painted a different picture for their best feud - Cody Rhodes v MJF.A story that has been built for well over a year, starting on the Young Bucks' 'Being The Elite' YouTube series, MJF turned on Cody at Full Gear in November and confirmed himself as a top heel.

The two will face-off at Revolution on February 23, but there were conditions that Cody had to meet for the match to go ahead, and one of them was to take 10 lashes courtesy of MJF last night.

It was a highly emotional segment, and either Cody is an extremely good seller - something we already knew - or those lashes were putting him in severe pain.

Even big Wardlow got involved in the action as well, and the likes of the Bucks, Dustin Rhodes and his wife Brandi - who abandoned her heel Nightmare Collective character for this segment - all came down to ringside to support Cody.

The storytelling here was something to behold, and some are labelling it the best segment that AEW have produced since they went on the air back in October.

Cody even shared his battle scars with the world after Dynamite went off-air, and they look extremely painful.

Fans are incredibly invested in this story, and the pay-off is going to be so sweet when Cody finally defeats MJF - but it may not be at Revolution.

This is the kind of story that could go on for a while and one that fans wouldn't get bored of - and in a few weeks we will find out if there will be an immediate pay-off or if this one will go a few rounds longer.
