WWE is bringing back Ruthless Aggression… sort of.WWE has announced a new five-part docuseries coming to the WWE Network soon based on the Ruthless Aggression era in the 2000s following the end of the Monday Night Wars. The trailer begins with Bruce Pritchard making reference to WWE purchasing WCW, bringing an end to the Attitude Era.He says: “Woo-hoo, we won the war! Alright, we bought our competition. Then it quickly became… what’s next?”The trailer, which you can see for yourself further down, shows Vince McMahon’s iconic ‘ruthless aggression’ speech, as well as clips of some of the era’s top superstars.

Edge, RVD, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, Brock Lesnar, Big Show, Shelton Benjamin, Randy Orton and John Cena were all shown in the minute-long clip.

The Ruthless Aggression docuseries will cover topics such as the split of the main roster to Raw and SmackDown, the introduction of new match types, Cena’s debut, Orton’s destructive attitude in his early years, Lesnar demanding a move to the main roster, and Stone Cold Steve Austin’s frustrations.

WWE also noted on their website that the series will feature brand-new interviews with Cena, Batista, Orton, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Mark Henry, Becky Lynch, Kevin Owens, The Miz, Paul Heyman, Bruce Prichard and many more.

From the trailer, the Ruthless Aggression docuseries looks like another docuseries on the WWE Network that can’t be missed.

Episode one will be about the decision to usher in the Ruthless Aggression era, while episode two will be about the rise of Cena.

Episode three will be about the iconic Evolution stable, and Lesnar’s rise and departure from the company in 2004 will be the focus in episode four.

The series will end in episode five when it takes a look at the decision to split the roster exclusively to Raw and SmackDown.

The most intriguing part of the series at the moment looks to be Austin possibly addressing the situation from 2002 where he didn’t show up to Raw over creative differences regarding a match with Lesnar.

A lot of WWE fans would love to know more about the rise of Cena and Orton during that era as well.

The docuseries is set to debut on the WWE Network on February 16.
