With the 2020 Formula 1 season set to kick off in March, starting with the Australian Grand Prix,
Lewis Hamilton looks more than ready for the occasion.

The current world champion tweeted a posey selfie yesterday along with the caption:

“Last year I arrived into testing with a lot of water weight and around 78kg. This year, I’m at a better weight of 73kg. still have more fat to burn off and more muscle to add but on the way.

"If you are wanting to get in shape, you can do it. Let’s go guys #keeppushing #letsgo.”

Inspirational as ever from the six-time world champion.

On the topic of Lewis being a six-time world champion, this season he will be pushing to equal Michael Schumacher’s record of most championship’s won and he looks in great shape to do so.

However, will he look in just as good shape behind the wheel?

This isn’t the only record of Schumacher’s that Hamilton could equal or even beat this season. With the season set to include a record-breaking 22 races this year, it is very possible that Hamilton could beat the record of most Grand Prix wins.

At this current time before the season starts, he is at a total of 84 wins, which is only 7 behind Schumacher’s current leading record of 91.

Meaning, if Lewis is to tie the record of most championships won, he is most likely going to become the driver with the most Grand Prix wins ever.

Lewis has been vegan since 2017 and it’s a diet that he heavily promotes, but after revealing the shape he’s in, it almost makes you think that the switch to a vegan diet might not be so bad after all.

Speaking to GQ recently, Hamilton stated that:

“Ultimately, you want to feel great. You want to have energy, to be consistent. You don’t want to have the big oscillations and highs and lows in your energy levels. Veganism has eradicated that.”

With the great shape that he is in and his plant-based diet behind him, will this be a record-breaking season for Lewis Hamilton?
