This week Deontay Wilder’s trainer, Jay Deas, has been speaking to press leading up to Wilder’s rematch with Tyson Fury.

Deas has claimed that his fighter had suffered an injury to his arm in the build-up to the pair's first fight - he revealed this whilst speaking to World Boxing News.

Wilder managed to knock Fury down twice in their last fight but Fury rose both times, with the second time being almost like a phoenix rising from the ashes.

The fight ended in a controversial draw, which has led to the much-anticipated rematch on February 22nd.

Whilst speaking to World Boxing News, Deas said:

"Even though it was healed by fight time, the timing on it was still off.

Deontay was also very light and wasn't eating as much as he should.

This time he’s very healthy and firing on all cylinders.

Could it be possible that Wilder could finish the job this time around?

Well, it seems that the bookies don’t think so, with Fury still remaining the slight favourite going into the fight.

Tyson Fury hasn’t been shy of sharing his prediction for the fight, stating that he keeps seeing the number 2, even in his dreams, which leads him to believe he is ending the fight in the second round.

However, Deas claims that we should expect a ‘much-improved’ performance form his fighter.

Fury’s corner can also argue that their fighter is coming into this fight in better shape than last time, with Fury apparently weighing a stone more this time around.

Although, Deas has dismissed Fury’s new tactics.

Wilder has demonstrated his knock-out power in his two fights since his inaugural bout with Fury, with KO victories over both Dominic Breazeale and Luis Ortiz but will we see him knock-out Fury on February 22nd?
