Sergio Ramos swore at Martin Odegaard after clash in Real Madrid v Real Sociedad

Real Madrid may regret letting Martin Odegaard go out on loan this summer.

The Norwegian was one of the world's brightest talents when Los Blancos signed him in 2015.

He's been unable to force his way into the first team though. Instead, he's spent the past four seasons on loan.

This season, he's been given his first full season in La Liga with Real Sociedad.

And he's been a revelation. Odegaard has been one of the best players in Spain's top tier, having scored four times and recorded five assists.

He produced another superb display against his parent club on Wednesday evening.

Real Madrid have allowed Odegaard to play against them, meaning he was in the starting lineup for Sociedad's Copa del Rey tie at the Bernabeu.

Odegaard netted the opener after 22 minutes and was brilliant as Sociedad shocked Madrid 4-3.

Real Madrid Training Session

The 21-year-old was booked after just 11 minutes, though, after a clash with Sergio Ramos.

The two players went into a 50/50 and Odegaard caught Ramos' shin. There wasn't much force to the tackle, but the youngster was still given a yellow card.

Watch it below:

And Ramos was not happy at all. He was left writing around the floor in pain, before launching some verbal abuse.

Per El Chiringuito, Ramos shouted: 'me cago en su madre', which literally translates to 'I s**t on your w***e mother.'

Some have pointed out that it is a more common phrase in Spain and simply means 'f**k you'.

Odeegard then responded by gesturing Ramos to get up and saying that he got the ball.

Nevertheless, it's still not the nicest exchanges between the two.

Odegaard is set to return to Madrid in just a few months and, given his performances for Sociedad this season, he will definitely be in the first team.

That first day back at Madrid may be very awkward between Odegaard and Ramos.
