Liverpool are trying to win the Premier League for the first time in their history but they are eyeing more than just a trophy.

There are records to be broken, and Jurgen Klopp’s side are on course to enter the history books.

They could smash Manchester City’s record of 100 points and, providing they get it done before April 14, could set the record for the earlier Premier League title win.

There’s no denying that this team is special but to truly be remembered, they need to win the league in style.

Arsenal did so in 2003/04 by going the entire season unbeaten, while Man United added the Champions League and FA Cup to their Premier League title in 1998/99.

Those teams are two of the best to ever do it, but is the Liverpool team of 2019/20 better?

They need to win the league and set some records to enter the conversation. But based on the stats after 25 league games, they are certainly ahead of United’s Treble winners and Arsenal’s Invincibles.

Liverpool’s current side, who haven’t lost a game in the league this season, have a 96% win percentage. Through 25 matches Arsenal’s was 72% while United’s was 56%.

Klopp’s team have 10 more wins than Sir Alex Ferguson’s side had at the same point and have 23 more points than Man United.

So Liverpool come out on top in every single category. Not only do they have more wins, they’ve also scored more goals than United and Arsenal and conceded fewer.

It’s time to start giving this team some respect.
